On September 23, 1997, a King County Court jury found that John L. Scott Real Estate and their agent, Connie Edwards, Violated the state of Washington Consumer protection Act RCW 19.86.090 and committed fraudulent concealment in the sale of property. Case number #96-2-10174-5 SEA. Svendsen v. John L. Scott, Inc. John L. Scotts agent advised the sellers to change their answer on the sellers disclosure form.
The jury found that John L. Scott had actual knowledge of the error, inaccuracy, or omission in the disclosure form at the time of sale and found John L. Scott liable for the damages and repairs caused by flooding.
